It was known from Hubei Provincial Development and Reform Commission on October 24th that, this September, there were 9 new PPP landing projects in Hubei Province (referring to confirmed social capital parties) with an investment of RMB14.225 billion while since 2017, there have been 284 PPP landing projects with an investment of RMB 457.161 billion, ranking the 4th and the 5th in China respectively.

It is shown by the data in recent two years that, Wuhan with an amount of 33 landing projects has still taken the lead among all cities in Hubei Province while Jingzhou and Huanggang have ranked the 2nd and the 3rd with an amount of 31 and 26 respectively. Viewing from the investment amount of new landing projects, Wuhan has gotten a good lead, amounting to RMB 179.7 billion while Ezhou and Huanggang have ranked the 2nd and the 3rd, amounting to RMB 46.1 billion and RMB 39.6 billion.

With regard to the type of PPP projects, projects related to municipal engineering, environmental protection, transportation, government-subsidized housing, and culture and sports are most favored by the social capitals. Its new landing project amount and investment in total ranks the top five. Among them, the investment amount of municipal engineering accounts for 65.6% while environmental protection and transportation for 12% and 11.4% respectively.

It is said that, since 2017, privately-run companies have landed 111 projects for being as social capitals through joint venture or sole party, accounting for 39.08%; the total investment has amounted to RMB 153.396 billion, accounting for 33.55%.
